Who We Are
Minato is the brand of Minato News, a Japan-based media outlet focused on the seafood industry. For nearly 80 years, Minato News has been engaged in reporting on developments in the domestic seafood sector. Today, it publishes paywalled digital and print media in Japanese.
The word Minato means “port” in Japanese, reflecting the company’s longstanding ties to fishing ports and the seafood industry.

Seafood Datastation is a digital marketplace for seafood-focused content, operated by Minato News, a business of Minato-Yamaguchi Co., Ltd.
